This 15 1/2" wing span job is delightfully simple.  Wood parts are all precision laser cut, and the covering is pre printed in color with color fast inks.  Kit includes all wood parts, printed covering (wings & stab are covered on top only), all hardware needed to complete airplane, pilot with imitation silk scarf (pilot may be either the male or female).
Install the motor, gearbox and spectrum brick (either long or short throw, mounts are provided for both) from a ParkZone (R) Bind'n'Fly (R) and you are ready to race.
The finished flying weight is in the range of 36 - 50g.
Recommended motor is from Sukoi or Pole Cat, but others will work.

Fun Build
James Keough (Cuba, NY) 6/6/2017 1:53 PM
This little unit was a fun build. Be prepared to spend about $75 in hardware, however. I used the motor suggested, but it was just too weak to be effective. Instead, I swapped it out for a ParkZone Motor and Gear Box: Ultra Micro P-51, SU26 XP PKZ3624 ($14 on eBay)...a motor with more zip and more robust prop shaft. BTW, make sure you screw your prop on all the way covering the threads to avoid breakage on a hard landing. Next, be sure to install the motor BEFORE installing the gear box unit. Otherwise you can't get the motor in after assembly without doing some work with the dremel tool! (Directions are good, but incomplete!) I still haven't gotten the landing gears to work right. Something's missing here! Be sure to check your CG because it doesn't fly well unless it's dead on. So all in all I'd recommend the plane, but not necessarily for the beginner.
